Hugh is a seasoned entrepreneur and successful business builder with over 30 years’ experience in technology. He founded Dowco Internet in 1994 and orchestrated his first webcast in 1995. In 1999 he formed INSINC, a leading streaming media provider. INSINC was acquired in 2009 by NeuLion (TSX: NLN). Hugh has structured and sold multi-million dollar content distribution partnership deals with organizations across the globe involving major media companies and content properties including: Rogers, Univision, FIFA, Bell, NHL, NFL, Telus, NBA, Shaw, Millicom, English Premier League, PGA, TVG and the Olympics. He has served in various board capacities for a number of sports, technology and media companies.
President, Yare EU & Co-Founder
Launching his telecom career in 1970 with Nortel, Kurt has 40+ years experience. He worked with Siemens and Dynapro before founding and Vancouver-based communications company VoiceTek in 1988. Kurt coordinated the sale of VoiceTek to Metronet (AT&T) in 1999. In 2004 he launched a successful streaming company in Europe, which enjoyed a reputation as a customer-centric company servicing customers such as: ORF, the Austrian Press Agency, Magnabet and GP Strategies. The company merged with Yare in May 2016.
Chief Development Officer
Clay was co-founder of Big Lead Sports, a digital media company that was acquired by USA Today. At USA Today Sports, Walker headed up strategy and business development, managing over 300 affiliate partnerships. Before joining PretsoSports as its COO, he was the CEO of BigTeams, the largest high school athletics software platform in the U.S. While at PrestoSports, Clay successfully led the sale of the company to Battery Ventures in 2017. He has served as a panelist at SXSW, World Congress of Sports, Sports Marketing Symposium, and the Sports Media & Technology Conference, and became the first person from a sports union to make the Sports Business Journal Forty Under 40 list.
Director of Technical Operations
Anne-Marie has advanced skills implementing transcoding services. She is responsible for driving effective customer onboarding processes to ensure customers can get their streams ingested in a timely and effective manner. Skilled in customer service and business operations she has 20+ years operating experience in entrepreneurial environments. Anne-Marie oversees global technical delivery and operations working closely with senior technical resources within tier 1 cloud infrastructures to provision services.
Director of Business Operations / Project Manager / Webmaster
Robin has 20+ years experience in new media, eCommerce and website development. His multi-faceted skills include project management, back office technical operations, transaction platform development and web development. Robin was formerly CTO at J3 Investments, President at Ruffneck Scarves, Ecommerce Manager at Soccer City Enterprises and Senior Product Manager at INSINC. He earned a BSc., Mathematics and Statistics from Simon Fraser University.
John is a senior media executive with expertise in launching media projects. He managed Broadcast News, Canada’s largest news service for radio and television, and then launched Canada’s first all-sports radio station (The FAN Toronto) achieving the highest market share of any sports station in North America. He led the successful CRTC license application by Headline Sports (now Sportsnet 360) and assisted in the launch of INSINC.

In 2004 Kurt launched a successful streaming company in Europe, which enjoyed a reputation as a very customer-centric company. Kurt merged his company into Yare in early 2016.
SVP Sports Solutions
David has 25+ years of combined business development & distribution strategy experience working on behalf of sports events & leagues, sports channels and media platforms alike. Head of IMG Media Canada for three years, David travelled to Hong Kong serving as IMG Media’s Senior Vice President Asia for 14 years. He founded Asia Media Solutions in 2007 operating as President until 2013 when he returned to Canada. David joined Yare in early 2016.
Also known as Denny, Dennis has a wealth of public and private company CFO experience directing financial, accounting, treasury, purchasing and administrative functions in a variety of organizations. Denny spent 5 years as VP of Finance for Cable and Wireless Telecommunications before joining Essentially Yours Industries as CFO. He has acted for Director for a number of public and private companies.
